The 5.56 Assault Rifle is a weapon that appears earlier in the game in early levels like Vortex Zero and Out of the Frying Pan. This weapon is probably considered on of the best in the game with the Light Machine Gun and the RPG. With the amount of ammo, the accuracy and how powerful the weapon is make it strong.

There are only a few features on this gun such as the color. It is a tan color. Another feature on the gun is the ACOG Scope. With the help of this scope, it makes the gun very accurate.
Trivia[]
- There is a glitch with the Black Powder Rifle where if you keep it until the end of the level in your hands, and you have the 5.56 Assault Rifle. The gun's ammo will switch and so will the rate of fire, making the Black Powder Rifle an automatic and the 5.56 Assault Rifle the Black Powder Rifle. Although when you reload the weapons they reload in their normal way.
